is it legal for me to buy a gun online?
All Anthony’s firearms transactions are fully legal and regulated. Federal and state laws must be followed throughout the process. The firearm can be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder OR directly to your address. Before a gun is released to the buyer, a background check is done by the local FFL dealer.
can you ship firearms directly to my home or office?
Yes, all firearms can be shipped to a verified FFL (Federal Firearm License) holder OR directly to your home or office . This excludes LEO offices and some black powder rifles. They can ship to your home in certain states.
Can firearms be returned?
No, firearms cannot not be returned to Anthony’s. All sales are final. It is important to thoroughly inspect your firearm before completion of the transfer. Make sure that the firearm is as described and there are no defects. Once the firearm is transferred into your name, Anthony’s will not accept a return or exchange under any circumstances. If a defect is discovered after completing the transfer, you must contact the manufacturer directly for repair or replacement.
What is an FFL?
“FFL” stands for Federal Firearm License. There are currently over 58,000 FFL holders nationwide. FFL holders are commonly gun stores, pawn shops, and retail sporting goods stores. However, there are also many individuals that hold a FFL. All firearms sold to individuals online must be shipped to a local FFL holder who will then transfer the firearm (via ATF form 4473 and associated background check) to the individual. Most dealers charge a small fee for their services in the transfer, generally about $20. You will be responsible to pay their fee.
How long is the gun shipped?
All handguns are shipped 2nd Day Express. Long guns are shipped 3 – 5 day ground delivery. All shipments are delivered Monday – Friday.

Your transferring FFL should have all the necessary information regarding the process and legal hurdles in purchasing a firearm in your location. It is highly recommended that you contact the FFL to make any necessary arrangements prior to making a purchase with Anthony’s, as they should have access to any information needed and be able to help you through the process. Transfer fees may be higher in some areas than others because of local regulations.
Do I have to register my firearm arm?
There is no federal registration process but as always you the customer must be fully aware of any local or state regulations regarding firearm registration that apply to you.
